Jason is a kind and empathetic clinician who enjoys supporting his clients to return to meaningful activity after severe injury or illness. His strength is working collaboratively with families, friends, support workers, and other treating professionals to achieve maximal benefits for his clients.

A graduate of the University of Sydney, Jason has worked as a speech pathologist for more than thirteen years. He has worked in clinical and leadership roles at leading brain injury rehabilitation services, including the Epworth HealthCare Acquired Brain Injury Unit in Melbourne and the Royal Rehab Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service in Sydney. Jason has also worked as a rehabilitation case manager and speech pathologist in regional NSW and has conducted research into the needs of people with brain injuries living in rural and remote areas.

In 2018, Jason completed a master’s degree by research, studying the recovery of insight after traumatic brain injury. He has presented quality and research projects at national and international conferences and has published clinical research. Jason has also been a sessional lecturer at Macquarie University since 2018.

Jason is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist, is a member of Speech Pathology Australia and the Australasian Society for the Study of Brain Impairment and is certified to deliver the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT)® for adults with Parkinson’s Disease.

Stefano Pepe

Stefano is an enthusiastic and caring speech pathologist, who always prioritises the needs of his clients and their families. He places emphasis on actively listening to and understanding his clients, helping them to set achievable and personalised goals.

Since completing a Masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology at Macquarie University, Stefano has worked at large metropolitan hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, and private practices. This varied clinical background has given Stefano advanced skills in the management of swallowing disorders across the client’s recovery journey. He is competent to manage tracheostomies, and regularly completes radiographic swallow studies with clients to gain objective results for his clients. In addition to his work with Insight Rehab, Stefano works at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital as a Senior Speech Pathologist.

Stefano values the importance of providing evidence-based services to his clients. He regularly attends professional development courses through Voice Care Australia and has been a neurology team panel member for the Sydney Local Health District’s Sydney Innovation Week.
